Meeting: Saturday August 24th 3:30-5:30
605 Barrow St. Houma, La 70360
Our main event, Mardi Gras Day, has been such a colorful whirlwind that we rarely get the chance for a quality visit while promoting our mission. Please join us for a chance to get to know each other. Participants are encouraged to bring a finger food.
At this meeting we will:
- Collect payment of dues for the 2020 season
- Costume with a theme:”Wild in the Wetlands”
- Collect member input for our 2nd annual tableau
BUT WAIT! There’s more:
After Adjourning at 5:30, members and friends interested in attending the Krewe of OAK’s midsummer Mardi Gras Parade in New Orleans (nearest to the Maple Leaf Bar
8316 Oak St, New Orleans, Louisiana 70118)
can join a caravan of revelers. This 33rd annual parade by the Krewe of OAK is sure to conjure a likeness to our beloved Krewe of Tradition. Although they utilize motorized vehicles in their parade, they are usually no larger than a golf cart. You are sure to be inspired while you inspire.
